Agile Wetsuit
Agile Wetsuit
Proven performance. Confidence from the first stroke.

Independent testing at Loughborough University assessed how different wetsuit designs influence swim performance. Across a case study of three athletes — beginner, intermediate, and advanced — the Agile demonstrated measurable gains in speed and efficiency at the same perceived effort.

Key Findings (Averaged Across 3 Athletes)

+2.5 % faster over 750 m

+2.0 % improvement in stroke efficiency

–9 % reduction in physiological load (blood lactate)

Interpretation:

As the entry-level suit in the Zone3 range, the Agile improved body position and reduced drag — helping swimmers move more efficiently through the water. The results, averaged across three athletes, show clear performance benefits at a consistent effort level.

Confidence. Comfort. Proven performance

Agile Wetsuit

Featuring a combination of two, three and four millimetre buoyancy panels, the Agile allows your body to remain streamlined in the water, reducing fatigue and enabling you to improve your technique and speed.
Combined with a high-stretch shoulder panel for increased flexibility, the Agile further improves form by reducing drag significantly and increasing your potential reach with every arm pull.
Eco-Friendly Neoprene derived from limestone and scrap rubber tires reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions by 200g per suit. The majority of neoprene production waste is recycled back into the suits, helping to minimise landfill waste and help protect the environment we train in.
The Agile wetsuit provides several features not offered by other entry-level wetsuits on the market at this price point.
1.    No flatlock stitching. The seams are fully glued and blind stitched to ensure complete waterproofing, flexibility and no internal discomfort. .
2.    No nylon neoprene panels. The Agile is made from a mixture of Speedflo and Smoothskin coatings to ensure water does not permeate the suit, increase its weight and cause drag.
3.    Performance focus. Like all ZONE3 products, even though the materials and thickness can’t compare with our more elite models, the Agile is designed for speed and comfort.

2mm Flex-Fit Shoulder Panels

Improve range of motion allowing you to conserve energy and reduce fatigue.

2mm, 3mm and 4mm panel

High Visibility

Panels to help stand-out when in the water

On the back of the suit with a cord attached for ease of use

Good for entry level, but struggled with durabilit

"Agile works well as a starting wetsuit if you are getting into open-water swimming, but long-term durability fell short for me. The material tore quite easily, particularly around the armpit and buttocks area. After just two summer seasons, the suit was essentially done and had to be replaced. To be fair, since this was my first wetsuit of this kind, some of the tears may have been down to my own learning curve in handling and putting on delicate neoprene. Still, replacing a suit after only two seasons wasn't ideal. It gets the job done as a accessible starter option, but you will need to handle it with extreme care to get good longevity out of it."

Entry Wetsuit great for beginner 70.3

"I bought the wetsuit to do my first triathlon (IM70.3). Wetsuit keeps warmth great and provided the right amount of buoyancy. I felt much more comfortable in open water wearing it. Size is comfortable, but not “pro race tight”. I’m 6’3”, 205lbs. The L was too tight to get over the shoulders. XL fits comfortable and is great for me. Could be tighter, but I’m in between sizes."

— Thomas B. (4/5)

Agile women’s SM wet suit

"Good fit . Snug but but not restrictive when you start swimming. Kept me warm although water temperature still 18 degrees currently in October."

— Tamsin V. (5/5)

Impressed

"Haven't used it in water yet but the whole buying process with zone 3 has been excellent. Ordered an xl and it was too big so returned and exchanged for a large. The suit itself is excellent and fits perfectly."

— Iain M. (5/5)

Very comfortable, flexible, and buoyant.

"Very comfortable, flexible, and buoyant. A bit snug even on a lean body, and sleeves are slightly short, so I'd recommend going for a tall size even if your height is on the lower end of the tall sizing guide."

— Ulziikhutag E. (5/5)

Recomendable 100%"

— David S. (5/5)

Fits very true to size,

"Fits very true to size, excellent quality and performs well. Looking forward to trying it on race-day conditions on my first race!"

— Uldis Z. (5/5)

Great quality

"Great quality, bit smaller than I would have expected. Recommend ordering big"

— Scott (5/5)

Tras la primera prueba, aparecieron

"Tras la primera prueba, aparecieron 3 agujeros. El traje era de la talla correcta. Tras la segunda prueba, aparecieron 2 agujeros más. Un traje muy poco fiable."

Q&A

I swim front crawl, is this the right type of wetsuit, the agile at £199, I like to be in the water for at least an hour, will this keep me war, for 1 -2 hours ?
All of our triathlon wetsuits are designed to support front crawl, with the exception of the Aspect Breaststroke wetsuit which has different buoyancy levels in the leg panels to accommodate the difference in the stroke. The duration of time you're able to spend in the water with this suit will depend on your own tolerance of water temperatures, so we're unable to advise whether this will keep you warm. The suit is designed to be worn in waters from 14 to 20 degrees comfortably by the majority of customers. If you need further information please contact us at hello@zone3.com
Could I use the Women's Agile Wetsuit for surfing? I know it is thinner than surfing wetsuits, but could it still hold the body temperature while surfing?
All of our wetsuits are designed to keep the body warmer while participating in water based activities. If you wanted a more versatile suit we would encourage you to take a look at our new Switch suits: https://zone3.com/pages/the-yulex-switch-wetsuit
Hi, I've got a Vanquish size XS which has got to the end of it's life. It fits well but on the size guide I come up as a S. When I bought the Vanquish I came up as a S and initially bought a S which was too big, had to return it and got XS instead. Should I get a S (which is what the size guide says) or a XS? Many thanks. Sandra
Whilst the sizes within our wetsuit range will be similar, they are not always a direct like for like comparison, and different suit styles and performance levels will fit and feel differently. The Vanquish is our top of the range wetsuit designed for superior performance, whereas the Agile is more of a mid-range suit. If you require specific sizing assistance please contact hello@zone3.com
I am looking at the agile ladies wetsuit. I am 134 lbs, height 5 foot 5.5 inches. Chest 36. I fit into the small/medium and medium sections of the size guide. Which would you suggest? Many thanks
Hi Sam, Based on the measurements provided, I would recommend going for the SM. I hope this helps. Regards, Adam
Is this wetsuit suitable for breaststroke?
Thankyou for getting in touch! The best wetsuit for Breaststroke would be our Aspect Breaststroke Wetsuit.
