Ergo Swim Training Hand Paddles

The ZONE3 Hand Paddles are often described as the most comfortable paddles available. In fact, the coaches of two of the largest triathlon clubs in the UK stock these especially for their swimmers. They are perfect for building upper body swimming strength and are very useful to combine with the buoyancy shorts.

After testing many different types of swimming paddle, ZONE3 have chosen this set as they are not too big or too small. The contoured shape maximizes the effect on the freestyle water catch positions and minimizes any disruption to the stroke technique, therefore reducing risk of injury.

One of the really great design features is the option of the single finger strap for more advanced swimmers or full hand straps for extra support - a great way to progress your swim stokes.

These paddles are also quick and easy to put on compared to some paddles. Simply slide them through your middle finger and you’re ready to go.

"I haven’t tried paddles before so can’t compare with other models, but these were easy to use and get started with and fun to feel that extra power with the pull. The only thing is that when I was feeding the straps through to adjust the fit of the finger loop, the strap on one of the paddles snapped unexpectedly (though fortunately the finger loop section is still intact). I haven’t had a long session with them yet but they seem comfortable enough."

Brilliant training tool

"These are like resistance bands in water. They are brilliant for training and perfecting your stroke. I use them to help me with the correct form for front crawl but also to help strengthen my back and shoulders for breaststroke. They fit like a glove and are comfortable on the hands. I can really tell the difference when I take them off to how much harder my arms are working"

"Good tool, can be used with strap on one finger for full fingers. Gives a really tough workout and can only really use for short distance as there is a big resistance. Great addition to have for a strength session."
